Snow Closure Policy
- In the event of snow, a message will be recorded by 1:00pm indicating whether or not we are open for instruction and can be heard by calling the studio at 201-445-8780. We will not be contacting the students.
- We do not follow the school closings. If the studio is open and you are unable to attend due to the weather, please call the studio. If we close for the day, your teacher will call to schedule a make up lesson.
- In order to reduce scheduling confusion the studio will make every effort to remain open, of course keeping safety first. If we close for the day, your instructor will call to schedule a make up lesson.
Studio Closure
- We do not follow any school calendars. If your school is closed, please do not assume the studio is closed. If you miss a lesson due to this error, you will not be given a make up lesson.
Teacher Lesson Cancellations
- Lessons that are cancelled by a teacher will automatically be made up or a substitute teacher will be provided. Please do not make deductions from your monthly payment, as the studio will make sure all lessons are received for the month.
- It is important to understand that all of our teachers are professional musicians and perform professionally which at times may take them away from the studio. It is these experiences which make them the outstanding professionals that they are.
- Any substitute teacher provided by the studio is a professional musician. A student should welcome this opportunity to work with a guest artist. It is invaluable to have as much feedback from as many professionals as possible to promote a balanced musical growth.
Lesson Schedules
- Lessons are booked on a tight schedule; therefore we ask that students arrive promptly. We cannot guarantee a full lesson if a student is late.
- Please notify Lisa Plasse by calling 201-445-8780 if you need to cancel a lesson.
Calendar of Events
- Please review the calendar of events carefully. The calendar lists all closings, recitals, coffeehouses, registration deadlines and faculty performances. Please take a moment to mark these dates in your calendar. These dates have been chosen well in advance and we can not make any changes or add any additional performance dates.
Recitals
- The studio will mail a recital registration form to each student prior to the registration due date. Rehearsal dates will be listed on the form. Please make sure the rehearsal dates and performance date and time are convenient for you prior to registration. The studio will not be able to add any additional rehearsal times.
- There will be no refunds of recital registration fees.
- We will not rehearse full pieces the day of a recital. Students are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to a recital for warm ups and line up only.
Coffeehouses
- The studio does not mail out registration forms for coffeehouses. If a student is interested in performing at a coffeehouse, please ask the teacher for a form.
- There will be no refunds of coffeehouse registration fees.
Lesson Payments
- Individual lesson payments are on a month-to-month basis and due by the 1 st of the month for that month of lessons. Example: Payment for December lessons is due on December 1 st .
- A bill will be mailed to your home the third week of each month for the following month and payment must be mailed to our Accountant Layla Horvath at 3 Neal Drive , Manalapan , NJ 07726 . A return envelope is enclosed with the bill for your convenience.
- Payments received after the 1 st of the month will incur a $15.00 late fee.

- Individual lessons are on a month-to-month basis. A student is obligated to take all of the lessons for the month that has been paid for. If a student or parent decides to discontinue lessons before the end of the month, they will not be given a refund.
- If a student decides to discontinue lessons for the following month, notice must be given to the studio prior to the start of that month. Example: Notice must be given in November if you plan on discontinuing in December.
- If there is an outstanding balance due from previous months, lessons will not be given for the current month until the account is made current.
