This scholarship was created to honor the memory of a dear friend and very active band parent who passed away in January 2004. Music was very important to her and she made sure her children were exposed to the wonders of music. This scholarship will help to keep that spirit alive. She touched many lives and will continue to do so through this scholarship. Susan is sorely missed but her memory and laughter will stay in our hearts always. This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who is entering a college or university as a music major.

2008 SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

High school seniors planning to major in music in college are elgible for a $1,000.00 music scholarship.
This award will go to one instrumentalist and one vocalist.

How to Apply : Interested students should send a letter of application with name, address, phone number, musical experience, pieces to be performed at audition and name of college or university to be attended in the fall.

Auditions : Saturday, February 9, 2008 , at From The Top Music Studio located at 47 Prospect Street , Midland Park , NJ .

Audition Requirements : must be prepared to perform two pieces in contrasting styles, which should not exceed fifteen minutes. Applicants must provide their own accompanist. Finalists will be asked to perform at our scholarship concert on Arpil 5, 2008 at 7pm. Scholarship winners will be announced at the end of the evening's performance.

Deadline : Letters of Application must be received by JANUARY 11, 2008. A letter will be sent to all applicants confirming receipt of application, approval of audition piece and audition time.
